Next circle will start on the 01.02.2022
Why it is so hard for a writer to face an empty page? For a painter an empty canvas, for a photographer to organise an exhibition and for all of my coaching clients to start and complete the projects they want to complete?
The answer is the creative resistance.
In the words of Steven Pressfield from The War of Art, creative resistance is elicited by:
“Any act that rejects immediate gratification in favor of long-term growth, health, or integrity. Or, expressed another way, any act that derives from our higher nature instead of our lower."
such as
“the pursuit of any calling in writing, painting, music, film, dance, or any creative art, however marginal or unconventional, the launching of any entrepreneurial venture or enterprise, for profit or otherwise, the undertaking of any enterprise or endeavour whose aim is to help others or any activity whose aim is tighter abdominals.”
Sounds familiar?
Resistance is not the only problem. There are also creative blocks - events that happened in the past that left a mark on your budding creative self. Harsh critique of your poem from a parent? A teacher who, hearing your first tries at playing piano, made a comment that you won’t make a living with it? That can be enough to discourage an artist for years.
Last but not least, for the last two years we have all been living under constant stress caused by the pandemic. Some of us in complete isolation for months, not able to visit the family, some worrying about the loved ones or our own health. That’s not an environment in which creativity flourishes and many people felt uninspired and spiritless.
I created this program because through my individual life coaching work with artists, creatives and entrepreneurs and seeing what helped them the most I understood one thing: although the battle against creative resistance and other blocks is one that we all fight alone (in front of the blank page/canvas/...), the hero has better chances of succeeding if he gathers a team first.
Dear artist (yes, that’s you!)! If you are weary of the lonely war of art (even if you are fighting it mainly in your head), join me and 5 other companions at the campfire of The Artist's Circle (set on Zoom).
What are previous participants saying?
“The program helped me to remove creativity blockages and allow me to take "creative action". I could not make it on my own. The group energy was an important part of the program. Knowing that others have the same struggles as I do and learning how they handle those situations helped me a lot in my process to allow myself to be more creative in my own life. Karolina is a great leader and coach giving to the the group and everyone all support we needed.”
— Carmen Corral
“It’s nice to know you are not alone in your struggles as an artist and get some necessary community support.”
— Magdalena Burtan
“It is an opportunity get to know yourself.”
— Magdalena Kaczmarek
“The Artists’ Circle provided me with tools to manage my creative flow and work. I unblocked myself completely and redefined what it meant for me to be an artist. The journey continues months after finishing the course and I still feel inspired, satisfied and blooming.”
— Karolina Laderska
What results you can expect?
By enrolling in this program you are putting yourself at danger of a creative explosion. If you've always wanted to write a book, it can unexpectedly start flowing out of you and onto the page. If you haven't taken up a guitar in years, your roommates and neighbors may have to listen to you practice again. If you've always wanted to start a business, you may be launching the prototype of your product before the end of the course.
I leave the full list of risks to your imagination.
What you will experience in the program:
Discover and remove the unhelpful, outdated beliefs that block your creativity
Carve out the space to hear your inner voice (via daily journaling and artist dates)
Learn how to connect to the source of your creativity
Learn to "fill the pond" with new inspiration
Learn to be kinder to and take a better care of yourself
Learn to be more playful and child-like with each passing week
Spend the first months of the third year of pandemic feeling supported and inspired
Dream and imagine the creative life that you could be living if you dared... and then plan how to make it a reality
And as a group we will:
Support each other on our artist’s journey
Fell heartened by the realisation that we all share exactly the same struggles and that we are not alone
Keep each other accountable and share the progress
Laugh and cry together and gain new artist friends
Who is it for?
Despite the name the course is not only for professional artists. In this program we believe that everyone is an artist so if the course sounds like a fun way to spend 3 months - it is for you.
The Artists’ Circle is for everyone who wants to connect with their creativity.
What is the method of the course?
The Artists’ Circle is based on Julia Cameron’s book The Artist's Way (and other materials) and it is a course in unblocking creativity. Since Julia Cameron first released her course in 1992 this method has been used by millions of people with fantastic results. I follow these proven principles and add my coaching skills and experience, that I gained working with artists individually and in groups, to provide guidance and support during this journey.
3 pillars of unlocking your creativity
The course is based on 3 simple but powerful tools: daily journaling, artist dates and weekly group coaching video calls.
Daily journaling
Morning pages are a daily journaling technique done first thing in the morning. They are a space to play, a space for you to reflect and to hear your own voice.
Artist dates
Artist date is a date… with yourself. That’s a special hour when you get to do the fun, creative stuff that you always liked but haven’t done for years!
Coaching excercises
The weekly Artists’ Circle is a magical, non-judgemental space where we will share our journey, receive and provide support and witness the creative transformation unfolding.
My own artist’s story
“Is that it?”
The first thought when I woke up on a Sunday morning in spring 2015 and reflected on the past week. I recently moved to Berlin for my new corporate job, solved all the logistics and started to feel like I knew what I was doing at work. It just started to feel like a routine.
Then another question:
“And now what?“
“Now you are going to go to the office five days per week, prepare and send out reports and analyses, go to meetings and drink coffee chatting with colleagues.” – I answered myself – “In the evenings you will go to the gym, do grocery shopping, cook and fall asleep watching Netflix. On the weekends you will clean the apartment, meet friends for brunch and dance to techno music. Rinse and repeat.”
This thought made me feel empty and sad.
“There MUST BE something…. more” - I thought.
But what?
And where to look for it?
To distract myself I reached for a book that I had on the bedside shelf, “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron.
And that was my personal Big Bang moment 💥
Julia Cameron wrote:
“if deep inside you are an artist, creativity is your basic need. Only by getting in touch with yourself and expressing yourself through the creative process, connecting to the spiritual electricity, will you feel alive and fulfilled.”
THAT was the elusive piece, that was missing in my new life!
Sunday after Sunday I went through the course, doing the exercises and using the tools: morning pages and artist dates.
It started to change me. The course encouraged me to claim the label of an artist. Even if it would be “just” the art of designing my life. To do things that aren’t ”normal”, like spending time in a café writing by myself and with a fountain pen, if I felt like it. To start believing that the world is full of possibilities and miracles.
I continued doing morning pages after I finished the book and I never stopped. It was during my daily journaling, already in 2019, that I first realised, that what I really wanted to do in life was to be a coach.
I signed up for a coaching course in London and on the first day a strange thing happened…
During a coffee break I went to the toilet. As I was leaving a woman passed me in a narrow corridor. I caught a glimpse of her blue eyes. The eyes I knew so well! I had her photo on my wall for years! Can that be true?
- Are you Julia Cameron? - I asked with a shaking voice.
- Yes, I am - answered my superstar, one of the people that influenced me the most, who taught me what does it mean to live a creative life, who gave me the permission to be myself, who packed my backpack for a long way that brought me there. To that narrow corridor of Regent’s University on a sunny May morning. The woman who first made me feel comfortable with miracles.
-I can’t believe this is happening, I’m doing a coaching course in another room, but... but it’s because of you, it started in 2015 when I started doing morning pages, you changed my life and... I just want to say THANK YOU!
In such moment is there anything more important to say than just, simply, thank you?
It took her a second to understand what I said but when it clicked she smiled, looked into my eyes intensely and warmly and said: „you are welcome”. As gently and powerfully as only she can be.
And then she left.
I heard someone asking me: - Are you ok?
- Yes - I answered wiping out tears - I just met my idol, it’s fine.
A few minutes later I texted my mum:
„I just met Julia Cameron, the universe is showing off”.
She answered: „No, it sent you a kiss for the way”.

The Artists’ Circle calls will be held on weekday evenings.
We will start with a kick-off call on Tuesday, 01.02.2022.
The exact hour and the dates of the next calls will be decided taking into consideration participant’s schedules and availability.
-
You should dedicate around 30min for daily journaling, one hour per week for the artist date and 1,5h for the weekly group call. I know it sounds much to ask from a modern person but most of this will feel like fun and play and will give you more energy. Previous participants said that the group calls were their favourite time of the week.
-
Because we will be working in a small group I ask all the participants to commit to take part in all of the calls and dedicate enough time for all the exercises.
It’s important for the group energy that we all show up and encourage each other to stick to the process. Sometimes it might feel intense but we are here for a transformation. The more you put in the more you will get out of it.
There are 2 weeks without calls or activities scheduled in (after each 4 weeks) to take a break and integrate.
However, if you are unable to participate in the call due to a personal emergency, you will be able to catch up with the group using the course materials.
The calls are a safe space to share and therefore will not be recorded.
-
Yes, you can split the fee into 3 monthly payments:
3 x 120€ for level 1
3 x 197€ for level 2
but it’s cheaper to pay in full :)

Of course you can! But then you will do it on your own :-)
I have done this course both on my own and in a group and I can tell you that the accountability, support and encouragement that the group is bringing, and the additional coaching element, makes it a very different experience.
When I think of doing it by myself I think of time spent alone doing exercises.
When I think of doing it with a group I think of faces of the other participants, hearing their stories and sharing mine. I think of one of them saying “I thought it was just me, thank you for sharing!” and 4 other people nodding in understanding.
It made that experience so much richer that I can recommend you to join even if you have done The Artist’s Way before. -
I'm so confident that you'll love the experience that if within 14 days from the kick-off call you decide it’s not for you, I'll refund you the entire fee.
